How much does it cost to participate?
The fee is from 40 € to 50 € per person depending on when you sign up. The fee for children under 16 is 20 €

I am injured/sick and can not participate. What do I do?
Wolfrace does not refund tickets

What is the deadline for signing up?
The last day to sign up is April 18 2020

How do I join an existing team?
When signing up you register the agreed team name.

Will all members in a specific team run in the same heat?
Yes

What is the age limit to participate?
You must be at least 16 when the race takes place. There will though also be a competition for children between 10 and 16. The track for them will be shorter and the obstacles more suitable for children.

Am I insured by Wolfrace or the organizer?
No, you participate at YOUR OWN RISK. Wolfrace and the organizer has no liabilities whatsoever for injuries/damages on the participant and his/her equipment. Please check your insurance so it is valid for this kind of race. We recommend that you buy an own accident insurance.

Do I compete at my own risk?
Yes, you compete at your own risk

Do I get my start time sent to me?
We will send you an email with start time and heat number 1-2 weeks before the race. Please bring ID with you when you collect your envelope/chip, at the latest 1 hour before start. In the envelope you find all information you need.

Personal data
To be able to handle your participation we need your name, hometown, email address, phone number and date of birth. We keep the rights to store this information. We will never give this information to a third part. On our web page we will publish the participants name, gender, hometown and age-class in the participants lists and in the race results

Marketing
By signing up for the race you give the organizer the rights to use all photos and videos taken during the race for marketing purposes

Terms of purchase
Paid tickets will not be refunded

Were do I pick up my number bib and chip?
The envelope with number bib and chip must be collected from the race office at the latest 1 hour before the start time of your own heat

When is the starting time?
There will be more information about this closer to the race date. An email with starting times will be sent to all participants 1-2 weeks ahead of the race. This information will also be available on the wolfrace website

When will the starting lists be published?
The starting lists will be on our website at the latest one week before the race

How many participants can be in one team?
A team must consist of minimum 2 persons and there is no max limit for number of persons. In the team competition the teams average time counts. Each team member will also get an individual time

Where can I change my clothes?
There will be limited places for changing clothes. You will get more information about this in the email sent to you confirming your start time

How fit should I be to participate?
The idea with Wolfrace is that it should be a fun event for all participants. You can finish the race in your own pace but the maximum time is 3 hours

What happens if I am not able to overcome an obstacle?
If a participant isn’t able or doesn’t want to overcome an obstacle he/she will execute a “punishment”  and then continue the race. This is supposed to be a fun race where the time is not the most important priority

What happens if I get hurt?
First aid will be available along the course

What equipment should I use?
We recommend running shoes with good grip for terrain running. Fast drying clothes is to be preferred as you will get wet a several occasions (we recommend synthetic materials instead of cotton). Gloves with rubber grip is an advantage at some obstacles.

Can I use shoes with metal spikes?
No, that is absolutely forbidden. Shoes with metal spikes can damage obstacles and hurt fellow competitors. Participants using shoes with metal spikes will be disqualified without possibility to get their participant fee refunded

Where can I get the results?
The results can be found on our website after the race. The first lists direct after the race will be done with reservation for changes

RULES AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN WOLFRACE 2019

Please read carefully the following rules and conditions for participating in Wolfrace 2020. By signing up for the competition you confirm that you have read and understood the conditions.

Age limit
You have to be minimum 16 years old the day the race (Wolfrace) takes place. Children born 2009 and earlier can participate in Wolfrace in their own age classes.

Sign-up
The sign up for Wolfrace is done at eqtiming.fi ID control will be made as you pick up your start kit at the race venue. We are not able to hand out the start kit to anyone without a valid ID and you will not be able to start in the race, nor get a refund. You cannot pick up another participant’s start kit. If you are competing in a team, the team leader will pick up the start kit

More detailed information regarding the time schedule for the heats are sent out by the organizers at the latest 2 weeks before the race.

Due to security reasons Wolfrace might have to limit the number of participants.

Purchased tickets will not be refunded.

Wolfrace
The participants have to follow the course and not deviate from the marked path.

The participants should not at any time, on any obstacle dive in with their head first.

The participants have to accept all race instructions on the course, from the obstacle officials and the organizers.

All competitors will start with a wristband. By using a wristband we make sure that everyone can participate in the race.

Each participant will receive a time chip in the start kit that should be placed according to the instructions around the ankle. The time chip should be returned after the race at the finish area. For time chips not returned the participant will be invoiced 100 €.

If the participant needs or wishes to discontinue the race, this is easiest done at an obstacle. Notify the obstacle crew and hand over the race chip to her/him. The obstacle crew will inform the organizer that you have discontinued the race.

Liabilities and responsibilities
The participant acknowledges that Wolfrace/EnergyRun is a great physical as well as psychological challenge where you will push your boundaries to the max. The race is 8 km and will include 20-40 challenging obstacles. Note that it is a totally different thing to run 7 km on flat grounds.

Participants compete at their own risk and can not address any claims at Wolfrace, the organizer (Närpes Brandklubb/Närpes Kraft Skidförening) or the land owner. This is valid before, during and after the race.

The participant acknowledges the toughness of the race and will prepare for the race with proper training.

The participant can without problem swim at least 50 meters in cold and deep water.

Wolfrace is not in any way responsible for thefts, crimes or loss of personal property before, during or after the race. It is up to each participant to protect their personal property and have their own insurance for covering issues like that.

We urge each participant to sign up for a separate insurance that covers accidents in races like this.

First aid crew and mobile-medical teams will be available during the race. Security guards will be available during the race.

All participants have to wear proper shoes. Shoes with metal spikes are not allowed due to the risk of damaging the obstacles and hurting fellow competitors. If you use metal spikes we will disqualify you from the race and dismiss you without possibility of reclaiming your entrance fee.

Suits and costumes have to be designed not to endanger neither the participant or fellow racers. Wolfrace/EnergyRun have the full right to decide what is proper and not and the participant will have to follow the instructions or he/she will not be able to participate in the race.

Pictures and videos from the race
Pictures and videos that might be taken on the participant during the race belongs to Wolfrace. Wolfrace can use these in any form without further consent from or compensation to the participant. This also includes future marketing of the races.

Personal information
Wolfrace have the right to collect, treat and use your stated personal information. Wolfrace can also use this in order to send marketing information from Wolfrace and our sponsors.

Miscellaneous
The participant acknowledges that Wolfrace at any time may change the course (length, area, obstacles and number of obstacles) as well as the number and the placement of the drinking stations. The course guides/maps that are published before the races are to be seen as basic and draft outline for what the course is likely to look like. Obstacles can be both added as withdrawn without that the participant can come with any claims against Wolfrace.

The participant can be disqualified from the race and dismissed from the grounds if behaving aggressively or in other terms not properly.

The organizer can postpone or call off the event. If the event is cancelled the entrance fee will be refunded.

Participants will observe and follow local laws and behave responsible and respectably towards fellow racers, the audience and the Wolfrace crew.

Take care of the environment by throwing all trash in the marked containers spread around the course. If not, you can be disqualified and dismissed from the area.

Participants as well as the audience cannot be intoxicated by alcohol or other drugs. This is a sports event and you can dismissed from the area.

These rules can change at any time before the race. All participants are notified if the rules change.

If there is a difference in the translation of the rules, the swedish language version is the master.

In any case of doubt, it is Wolfrace and the organizer, who makes the final decision.
